Ok so thanksgiving was pretty interesting in my family. First of all Thanksgiving is a time of love and thankfulness right? Your suppose to love your family and be happy that your surrounded by them along with great food. Well in my family its different. I go to my dads house, and  then my mothers. At my fathers i just love dealing with my wonderful stepmom, and sweet little baby sister. Well that last sentence was a complete lie. My stepmom is super annoying and my baby sister cries entirely too much. But i deal with it and put on a happy smile. My moms is actually fun, and i get too eat with all her family. This thanksgiving break has been wonderful. Its just the homework is hard to rememeber. I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed thanksgiving as well. :)

I agree, Thanksgiving means more now to me than it ever has before with me, and I think most of us, about to move out of our homes as we prepare to start our lives. The traveling, putting up with your extended family, the turkey comas, are all worth it when you can go back to the place where you truly call home. This was honestly the most I have seen my brother or my mom in about 4 months and it was almost shocking to be in their company again after such a long period of time apart. The seperation that College life brings, in my opinion, just brings families closer because after the past 4 months, we truly know where we will always be accepted and loved

This is Metallica, one of the most successful American metal bands of all time. When the photographer took this picture, he showed how close they are as band and that they have maintained a consistent lineup through many trials and tribulations. I saw them in 2009, and from what I have heard from others who have seen their concerts in the past, they just keep on improving. Like this photo shows, more now than ever before, Metallica is one big family and they show that in their actions on and off stage. They’re much more friendlier to each other, and after a close break up call in 1997, they’re back stronger than ever. Long live Metalllica!

This is a very strange photo of a sea creature released by the Census of Marine Life a few days ago. This is a photo of a trasnparent sea cucumber, a Enypniastes. Researchers are about to finish a census by October 2010 that will add 5,600 new species to the 230,000 known sea creatures. This photo just shows what we have yet to discover, and that the deep sea is one of the least explored realms on earth. I have no doubt as technology continues to become more sophosticated that creatures like these will appear more and more regularlyin textbooks and photos on the internet like this one.

I would honestly be shocked if anyone has not at least heard of this game yet. Of course, this is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The biggest selling launch in entertainment history. With November, 10th sales at 4.2 million copies sold, and a take of $380 million dollars. Infintity Ward made this particular poster purposefuly vague so as to give the fan the ability to imagine how the game would play and give it just enough detail so as to make it suspenseful. With those kind of first day launch statistics, they succeeded in all accounts. It is truly a fantastic game.

WK 9 REBLOG

I think this video was made to be encouraging for all people. Some people get what they want like it’s nothing, but most people have to work for what they want to achieve. I really like the quote in this video, “life = risk”. At first I thought it was harsh, but now I understand it, to be successful and achieve what you want you have to try- you have to take the risk. Although many people fail, if you keep trying, you can be successful. At the beginning of football season of my junior year of high school, I was the third string receiver (behind the 1600m state champion, and another track star) on one of the best teams in the state. For the first three games I played maybe 5 minutes in each game, but in practice I worked my butt off to show coach that I was just as fast and just as good as the other receivers. Finally, in the second district game of the year I was moved to first-string receiver. It took tons of work for me to get there, and for 4 weeks I failed, but finally all the hard work paid off. Goes to show that everyone can achieve their goals if they put their heart into it. Life=risk, and success=work.

I thought this video was awesome, I’m actually curious how it was found, usually on YouTube kids our age are watching ”Bon Qui Qui” and “Scarlett Taking a Tumble”. I believe the person who made this video wanted to express to its audience that you should never say never. You might be turned down at one point in your life, but sooner or later if you keep trying you can achieve what you want. Now you might not be the next Michael Jordan or Abraham Lincoln, but it always try your hardest, and if you put your mind to it you can truely achieve something.

This video was so inspiring to me. It shows how many people get discouraged in life, but they never give up. It trying to convey a message about how in life people have to take risks. Even if they feel like they want to give up they need to keep striving towards there goals. It also shows that there is greatness in everyone, and people just need to dig deep inside to find it. When someone tries to bring you down you should not listen to them, because they do not know what your capable of, only you know that. This video showed me how much people can fail at time, but get right back up and try again. This is how everyone should view life.

Week 9 Reblog

This video was so inspiring to watch. I could not believe all of the interesting stories behind those people and what they went through before they became successful. If you really think about it, having to fail before you succeed is a true statement. If I think back on my like I can name a bunch of things that I have failed at and done wrong, but then when I really think about it they all ended up leading to something that turned out to be great and I succeeded. I think that they maker of this video was trying to spread inspiration to people to keep trying and to push everyone to work hard and not become discouraged by the failures because hard work will eventually pay off. This was a very inspiring video in my opinion.

This video cannot be more true. People often forget that to learn in life you NEED to make mistakes. That is one of the best ways people learn and succeed. I like how the creator of this video used many different people from different times so that everyone can have something to relate to. Failure is a universal feeling and I think people often forget to see that when we look at famous people and are just like, “wow, that must have come so easily to him. I wish I was that lucky”. Well, as this video shows, you can go up to any of them and they would say quite the opposite.

“High is the way, but all eyes are upon the ground. You were the light and the way they’ll only read about. I only pray, Heaven knows when to lift you out. Ten thousand days in the fire is long enough; you’re going home.”

W8

These lyrics are very deep with alot of meaning, they are a section of lyrics from the song 10,000 Days, the title track to the 2006 Tool album 10,000 Days. They reference to the lead singer, Maynard James Keynan’s mother’s long bout with cancer. The part, “heaven knows when to lift you out” is telling of her last days alive in the hospital, and 10,000 days is actually how long James’ mother had fought cancer until she ultimately died early in the lead singer’s life. He uses fire to tell just how serious and agonizing the cancer was, he speaks of it as a torture.

This is actually an interesting video; I wasn’t expecting to see the car mysteriously appear on the other side of the fence like that. This video shows us how unexplainable things happen, in the real world, one minute you’re chasing a high speed car, whose swerving uncontrollably and still manages to remain in control of the car, then all of a sudden when you think you have him cornered, he pulls a fast one on you. In the end, the bad guy wins and the good guys lose. If you kind of think about it, it’s somewhat like paranormal activity, something happens and you don’t have an explanation for it.

I decided to post this video because it’s getting close to Halloween and I wanted to post something scary. I’ve seen this video several times and for those who have not seen it, enjoy. I think what the author is trying to portray is that some things can be very unnatural and are not easy to explain. It’s weird that the person driving was driving so crazy and was still able to control the car. You would think that all the swerving and jerking of the car would cause the driver to lose control, but he never did. I’m not sure if anyone else noticed it, but i most certainly did. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video and Happy Halloween!!!

This video is amazing! I saw this and expected a normal car chase with an ending going to the police, but Oh My God! This is proof that ghosts exist! Unless this was edited, I don’t see how this is even possible. It can’t be a trick of the eye or anything else.  I wonder what the police were thinking when the car just went through the fence like nothing! I wonder if they slowed down the camera footage to see if they could get a better look at the guy, I keep thinking it is like alien or something. Like they are doing experiments on us or something simlar like that. This really freaked me out though, I can’t stop watching it!

This is, in my opinion, the epitome of Mazda engineering. This is the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3, a turbocharged 263 horsepower 6 speed beast. Mazda built this car for the speed freaks in mind, and they did one hell of a job. Its the successor to the Protoge, a very successful Japanese racing/drifting car, and it took many great things about the car and improved on it. Such attributes as large disc brakes, front hood scoop, and rear lip spoiler help to give it aesthetic appeal and functionality. The new re-design comes with a bigger 2.3 liter engine that gives it the extra little umph that any true street racer loves.
